Secretary of the Air Force Deborah Lee James visited 24th Air Force during her visit to Joint Base San Antonio Jan. 31.
James, who was appointed the 23rd Secretary of the Air Force Dec. 20, is responsible for the affairs of the Department of the Air Force, to include organizing, training, equipping and providing for the welfare of more than 690,000 active-duty, Guard, Reserve and civilian Airmen and their families.
During her visit, the secretary learned about the Air Force’s role in carrying out the cyber mission from the Airmen of the 624th Operations Center. The center establishes, plans, directs, coordinates, assesses, commands and controls full-spectrum cyber operations and capabilities in support of Air Force and Joint requirements.
