Airdrie — There was a live shot of NASA Mission Control, a few tense moments before the feed from the International Space Station was projected, and then the words from Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield that caused a packed Airdrie auditorium to erupt in cheers: “I read you loud and clear.” Hadfield connected via video with about 1,000 Bert Church High School students, teachers and officials on Monday. For 20 minutes, Hadfield answered questions about life in space, showed off his collection of buffalo jerky and turned somersaults.
