Replay of the Copernicus Sentinel-5P First Light event, which was held at the DLR German Aerospace Center on 1 December 2017.
The event marked the release of the first images of air pollution from Sentinel-5P, which was launched from Russia on 13 October 2017. As well the first results being presented, the event also included talks from key players in the mission and in Europe’s Copernicus environmental monitoring programme. Even though the satellite is still being prepared for service, these first results were hailed as exceptional and show how this latest Copernicus satellite is set to take the task of monitoring air quality into a new era.
