{"id":240775,"date":"2016-04-26T12:43:49","date_gmt":"2016-04-26T16:43:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/amsat-uk.org\/?p=29017"},"modified":"2016-04-26T12:43:49","modified_gmt":"2016-04-26T16:43:49","slug":"three-new-cubesats-now-in-orbit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spaceweekly.com\/?p=240775","title":{"rendered":"Three new CubeSats now in orbit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-28921 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/ukamsat.files.wordpress.com\/2016\/04\/soyuz-vs14-mission-patch.jpg?w=300&#038;h=212\" alt=\"Soyuz VS14 mission patch\" width=\"300\" height=\"212\" \/>Signals have been received from the three CubeSats launched April 25 on Soyuz flight VS14 from the Kourou spaceport in South America.<\/p>\n<p>The three CubeSats were developed by student teams under the European Space Agency (ESA) Education Office \u201cFly Your Satellite!\u201d program, which is aimed at training the next generation of aerospace professionals. The satellites are OUFTI-1, Universit\u00e9 of Li\u00e8ge, Belgium; e-st@r-II, Polytechnic of Turin, Italy; AAUSAT-4, University of Aalborg, Denmark.<\/p>\n<p>The signal from the e-st@r satellite 1200 bps beacon is very weak which may indicate an antenna deployment issue or unexpectedly low transmit power.
