The Flight Readiness Review, or FRR, for space shuttle Discovery’s STS-128 mission resumed at 7:30 a.m. EDT this morning at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. <\/p>\n
Yesterday afternoon, the meeting ended following a discussion about the foam insulation loss issue related to space shuttle Discovery’s external fuel tank. Managers heard all different viewpoints and decided the external tank was able to fly "as is" without additional testing.<\/p>\n
Managers are expected to set a launch date at the end of today’s meeting. If a "go" is given for the targeted Aug. 25, 1:36 a.m. launch, Discovery’s seven astronauts will arrive at Kennedy’s Shuttle Landing Facility at about 7:30 tonight in T-38 aircraft.<\/p>\n
