This 15 m-high and 10 m-diameter <a href=\"http:\/\/www.esa.int\/spaceinimages\/Images\/2017\/03\/MetOp_inside_the_LSS\">chamber<\/a>&nbsp;is cavernous enough to accommodate an upended double decker bus.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nSatellites are lowered down through a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.esa.int\/spaceinimages\/Images\/2017\/02\/MetOp-C_lowered_into_LSS\">top hatch<\/a>.
