(2018) reported a decrease in solar-induced chlorophyll fluorescence (SIF) during 2015\/2016 El Nino event albeit the increase in enhanced vegetation index (EVI). They interpreted the reduced SIF as a signal of reduced ecosystem photosynthesis.
