{"id":624766,"date":"2019-07-20T16:30:00","date_gmt":"2019-07-20T20:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/spaceweekly.com\/?p=624766"},"modified":"2019-07-20T16:30:00","modified_gmt":"2019-07-20T20:30:00","slug":"beyond-docking-replay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spaceweekly.com\/?p=624766","title":{"rendered":"Beyond docking replay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/spaceweekly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Beyond_docking_replay_small.jpg\" width=\"170\" height=\"95\" align=\"left\" hspace=\"8\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\nAt 22:50 GMT (00:50 CEST) on Saturday 20 July the Russian Soyuz MS-13 spacecraft carrying ESA astronaut Luca Parmitano, NASA astronaut Drew Morgan and Roscosmos commander Alexander Skvortsov docked to the Zvezda service module of the International Space Station.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nDuring their six-hour journey to the Space Station, the trio orbited Earth four times. Their arrival brings the Station\u2019s population to six, with NASA astronauts Christina Koch and Nick Hague and Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexy Ovchinin already living and working onboard.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nThroughout his six-month Beyond mission, Luca will support more than 50 European experiments and over 200 international experiments in microgravity.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nIn the latter part of his mission, Luca will take up the role of Space Station commander.
