Now, a research team from Bochum and Hanover has developed a robust cell model of the pathogen. It produces about 100 times more infectious virus particles than previous models. &#8220;As a result, we are finally able to study the virus in depth,&#8221; says Professor Eike Steinmann, head of the Department for Molecular &amp; Medical Virology at Ruhr-Universit\u00e4t Bochum (RUB).
