Rescue teams have been dispatched towards the site of the crash,\u201d the air force said in a statement.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Jet crash in Islamabad <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/z22peSkrAj\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">pic.twitter.com\/z22peSkrAj<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Ch Kashif Ikram (@ChKashifIkram1) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ChKashifIkram1\/status\/1237623208569982976?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">March 11, 2020<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\nA second security official speaking on condition of anonymity also confirmed the crash.<\/p>\n<p>The rehearsals were taking place before the annual military parade that is set to be held in Islamabad this month to celebrate Pakistan Day.<\/p>\n<p>F-16 jets are among the most valuable defence hardware in the Pakistani military\u2019s arsenal.
