The group, led by Holger Heyn of the Centro Nacional de An\u00e1lisis Gen\u00f3mico (CNAG-CRG) in Spain, found that the Quartz-seq2 method, developed by a team in the RIKEN Center for Biosystems Dynamics Research, was overall the best method developed to sequence single-cell RNA.
