{"id":687625,"date":"2021-04-20T03:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-04-20T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spaceweekly.com\/?p=687625"},"modified":"2021-04-20T03:00:00","modified_gmt":"2021-04-20T07:00:00","slug":"20-years-of-esa-on-the-iss","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spaceweekly.com\/?p=687625","title":{"rendered":"20 years of ESA on the ISS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/spaceweekly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/20_years_of_ESA_on_the_ISS_card_full.png\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n\tVideo:<br \/>\n\t\t\t00:04:00<\/p>\n<p>This month marks the 20<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the first European mission to the International Space Station (ISS).<\/p>\n<p>On 19 April 2001, Italian ESA Astronaut, Umberto Guidoni launched to the ISS on space shuttle Endeavour for a mission that included installing the Canadarm2 robotic arm and transferring scientific equipment and experiments.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, there have been a further 26 European missions to the ISS and three ESA astronauts have served as commander.
