{"id":712206,"date":"2021-12-24T05:12:00","date_gmt":"2021-12-24T09:12:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/spaceweekly.com\/?p=712206"},"modified":"2021-12-24T05:12:00","modified_gmt":"2021-12-24T09:12:00","slug":"webb-on-ariane-5-poised-for-launch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spaceweekly.com\/?p=712206","title":{"rendered":"Webb on Ariane 5 poised for launch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/spaceweekly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Webb_on_Ariane_5_poised_for_launch_card_full.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n\tImage:<\/p>\n<p>The James Webb Space Telescope is safely stowed inside the fairing of ESA\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esa.int\/Enabling_Support\/Space_Transportation\/Ariane\" title=\"https:\/\/www.esa.int\/Enabling_Support\/Space_Transportation\/Ariane\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Ariane 5<\/a>\u00a0launch vehicle, which is now on the launch pad undergoing final checks and fuelling for a targeted liftoff at 12:20 GMT \/ 13:20 CET on 25 December from Europe&#8217;s Spaceport in French Guiana.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esa.int\/Science_Exploration\/Space_Science\/Webb\" title=\"https:\/\/www.esa.int\/Science_Exploration\/Space_Science\/Webb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Webb<\/a>\u00a0will be the largest, most powerful telescope ever launched into space. As part of an international collaboration agreement, ESA is providing the telescope\u2019s launch service using the Ariane 5 launch vehicle.
