It works to the tune of better than $1.5 trillion dollars a year according to the Direct Marketing Association!<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 0px;padding-right: 0px;padding-bottom: 0px;padding-left: 0px;margin-top: 0px;margin-right: 0px;margin-bottom: 1.571em;margin-left: 0px\">Having said that \u2013 it\u2019s very common to have doubts on this form of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thebusinessmasterycourse.com\/\" style=\"padding-top: 0px;padding-right: 0px;padding-bottom: 0px;padding-left: 0px;margin-top: 0px;margin-right: 0px;margin-bottom: 0px;margin-left: 0px;text-decoration: underline;color: #2361a1\">copy<\/a>\u2026 it is nothing like what you typically see out there (but then again 99% of the advertising you see out there does not work at all). PLUS most of us have personal experience with throwing out much of the long copy letters we get.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 0px;padding-right: 0px;padding-bottom: 0px;padding-left: 0px;margin-top: 0px;margin-right: 0px;margin-bottom: 1.571em;margin-left: 0px\">But, for well over 100 years there have been millions and millions of products sold with long copy advertising. My mentor Ted Nicholas has personally sold well over 15 million of his own books using this type of advertising. Frankly, I suggest you quit apologizing for selling (and for having anything to do with selling) and just get on with it or get out.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 0px;padding-right: 0px;padding-bottom: 0px;padding-left: 0px;margin-top: 0px;margin-right: 0px;margin-bottom: 1.571em;margin-left: 0px\">Fact \u2013 if you are selling a product \u2013 are you more likely to sell it in a sales call when you get your prospect face to face for \u2013 30 seconds? \u2013 or 30 minutes? Of course \u2013 its 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 0px;padding-right: 0px;padding-bottom: 0px;padding-left: 0px;margin-top: 0px;margin-right: 0px;margin-bottom: 1.571em;margin-left: 0px\">\u201cThe more you tell the more you sell.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 0px;padding-right: 0px;padding-bottom: 0px;padding-left: 0px;margin-top: 0px;margin-right: 0px;margin-bottom: 1.571em;margin-left: 0px\">No different in print, web, or where ever.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 0px;padding-right: 0px;padding-bottom: 0px;padding-left: 0px;margin-top: 0px;margin-right: 0px;margin-bottom: 1.571em;margin-left: 0px\">Proven for 100 years that long copy sells better.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 0px;padding-right: 0px;padding-bottom: 0px;padding-left: 0px;margin-top: 0px;margin-right: 0px;margin-bottom: 1.571em;margin-left: 0px\">Great one \u2013 Factoid: Over 65% of buyers of long, seemingly hypey infomercials (long copy on tv) are women. Women make up the greatest market of emotion-laden direct response ads and programs, according to The Direct Marketing Association (if I recall correctly). Take for instance weight loss products, cosmetics, lingerie, The Shopping Channel, etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 0px;padding-right: 0px;padding-bottom: 0px;padding-left: 0px;margin-top: 0px;margin-right: 0px;margin-bottom: 1.571em;margin-left: 0px\">Look at it this way: to paraphrase, \u201csex\u201d sells (for men), but \u201csense\u201d sells (for women).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 0px;padding-right: 0px;padding-bottom: 0px;padding-left: 0px;margin-top: 0px;margin-right: 0px;margin-bottom: 1.571em;margin-left: 0px\">Most people say that they don\u2019t read long copy. You would probably agree saying that you \u201cthrow out\u201d that kind of mail \u2013 ESPECIALLY if it\u2019s so long.
