Phobos lies around 12 km from the camera, with its uneven surface visible in the animation. The maximum diameter of Phobos is around 27 km.<\/p>\n<p>The sequence of images depicts the passage of Phobos in front of its sibling Deimos, which can be seen in the background of the video.
