Their work provides a simple while intuitive example, demonstrating with both theory and circuit experiments an &#8220;exceptional nexus&#8221; (&#8220;EX&#8221;), a higher-order exceptional point (HOEP). This HOEP is realized within only two coupled resonators with the aid of nonlinear gain.
