NASA\u2019s\u00a0Solar Jet Hunter project<\/a>\u00a0invites you to help find solar jets, ejections of matter from the Sun. The project was on hold for a few months as the science team worked behind the scenes. It\u2019s re-launching now with new data from NASA\u2019s Solar Dynamic Observatory and new features!\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe project has been really successful in finding solar jets.\u201d said project PI Dr. Sophie Musset from the European Space Agency. \u201cBut\u00a0we need more help!\u201d<\/p>\n

The project team has set up two workflows, or tasks, that need your help.\u00a0 You\u2019ll find them on the\u00a0new project webpage<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 one or both may be active. \u201cJet or Not\u201d, is a workflow that asks you to find jets, and \u201cBox the Jets\u201d is a workflow where you annotate movies of the Sun and draw boxes around jets that you spot.<\/p>\n

With your input, the\u00a0Solar Jet Hunter science team<\/a>\u00a0is building a catalogue of jets that will be used by many solar physicists.\u00a0Check the blog<\/a>\u00a0regularly for news on the science that your work enables\u2014and join the hunt for solar jets at\u00a0https:\/\/www.zooniverse.org\/projects\/sophiemu\/solar-jet-hunter<\/a>\u00a0!<\/p>\n
