(Credit: <abbr title=\"Canadian Space Agency\">CSA<\/abbr>)<\/p>\n \n\t\t<\/figcaption> \n\t <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t \n <\/p>\n<time>2023-10-30<\/time><\/p>\n <\/p>\nDespite their busy schedules, Canadian astronauts periodically travel to Canada from Houston, Texas, where they live and work at NASA<\/span>, to meet with Canadians across the country.<\/p>\n <\/p>\nLast week, <abbr title=\"Canadian Space Agency\">CSA<\/abbr> astronaut Jeremy Hansen was in Toronto and the GTA to talk about the\u00a0Artemis\u00a0II\u00a0mission, which will make him the first Canadian to fly around the Moon.<\/p>\n <\/p>\nJeremy spoke to over 600\u00a0Canadian students through\u00a0Docs for Schools, took part in\u00a0a Halloween-themed ROM After Dark where he met aliens and other funky creatures, and answered questions during a family-oriented event at the Ontario Science Centre. To the youth, he shared some advice and inspiring words about the importance to dream big. He also encouraged them to participate in the <abbr title=\"Canadian Space Agency\">CSA<\/abbr>‘s annual Space Brain Hack on growing food for the Moon, launched just the week before.<\/p>\n <\/p>\nIn addition to the next generation of space explorers, engineers and scientists, Jeremy visited with current members of the space sector at Kepler Communications and Canadensys as well as students involved in <abbr title=\"Canadian Space Agency\">CSA<\/abbr>‘s CubeSat and CUBICS<\/span> programs.<\/p>\n <\/p>\nThroughout the week, Jeremy also did over 20\u00a0interviews with news and print media, kids shows and documentaries to share his mission with as many Canadians as possible. (Credit: <abbr title=\"Canadian Space Agency\">CSA<\/abbr>)<\/p>\n \n\t\t<\/figcaption> \n\t <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t \n <\/p>\n<time>2023-10-30<\/time><\/p>\n <\/p>\nDespite their busy schedules, Canadian astronauts periodically travel to Canada from Houston, Texas, where they live and work at NASA<\/span>, to meet with Canadians across the country.<\/p>\n <\/p>\nLast week, <abbr title=\"Canadian Space Agency\">CSA<\/abbr> astronaut Jeremy Hansen was in Toronto and the GTA to talk about the\u00a0Artemis\u00a0II\u00a0mission, which will make him the first Canadian to fly around the Moon.<\/p>\n <\/p>\nJeremy spoke to over 600\u00a0Canadian students through\u00a0Docs for Schools, took part in\u00a0a Halloween-themed ROM After Dark where he met aliens and other funky creatures, and answered questions during a family-oriented event at the Ontario Science Centre. To the youth, he shared some advice and inspiring words about the importance to dream big. He also encouraged them to participate in the <abbr title=\"Canadian Space Agency\">CSA<\/abbr>‘s annual Space Brain Hack on growing food for the Moon, launched just the week before.<\/p>\n <\/p>\nIn addition to the next generation of space explorers, engineers and scientists, Jeremy visited with current members of the space sector at Kepler Communications and Canadensys as well as students involved in <abbr title=\"Canadian Space Agency\">CSA<\/abbr>‘s CubeSat and CUBICS<\/span> programs.<\/p>\n <\/p>\nThroughout the week, Jeremy also did over 20\u00a0interviews with news and print media, kids shows and documentaries to share his mission with as many Canadians as possible.
