{"id":775378,"date":"2023-12-11T20:07:51","date_gmt":"2023-12-12T01:07:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/spaceweekly.com\/?p=775378"},"modified":"2023-12-11T20:07:51","modified_gmt":"2023-12-12T01:07:51","slug":"nasa-invites-media-to-launch-of-new-mission-to-study-oceans-clouds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spaceweekly.com\/?p=775378","title":{"rendered":"NASA Invites Media to Launch of New Mission to Study Oceans, Clouds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><em>Lee esta nota de prensa en espa\u00f1ol\u00a0aqu\u00ed.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Media accreditation is open for the upcoming launch of NASA\u2019s PACE (Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud ocean Ecosystem) Earth observing science mission.<\/p>\n<p>NASA and SpaceX are targeting no earlier than Tuesday, Feb. 6, for a Falcon 9 rocket to launch PACE to orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.<\/p>\n<p>Media accreditation application deadlines for the PACE launch are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>U.S. media and U.S. citizens representing international media must apply by 5 p.m. EST on Wednesday, Jan. 17.<\/li>\n<li>International media without U.S. citizenship must apply by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Media accreditation requests must be submitted online at:<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">\n<p>NASA\u2019s media accreditation policy is available online. For questions about accreditation, or to request special logistical needs, please email:\u00a0ksc-media-accreditat@mail.nasa.gov. For other mission questions, please contact NASA Kennedy\u2019s newsroom: 321-867-2468.<\/p>\n<p>The PACE mission will continue and improve NASA\u2019s 20-year record of satellite observations of global ocean biology, aerosols, and clouds.
