Both flights ended within minutes, resulting in explosive events, providing useful data for SpaceX\u2019s engineers as they aim to complete a full mission.<\/p>\n<p class=\"live-blog-post-content css-h61jh5 evys1bk0\">During this third trip, SpaceX is hoping to achieve a better performance for the rocket, reaching higher altitudes and perhaps even speeds that would be capable of carrying the vehicle to orbit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"live-blog-post-content css-h61jh5 evys1bk0\">Here\u2019s what else you need to know about the flight:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"live-blog-post-content css-1ie9vib ez3869y0\">\n<li class=\"css-1i3ul0c eoqvrfo0\">\n<p class=\"css-1il0jfh evys1bk0\">The launch is scheduled for no earlier than 8 a.m. Eastern time. There is a 110-minute window during which the flight could launch, so the company could launch later as is often the case during test flights.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"live-blog-post-content css-1ie9vib ez3869y0\">\n<li class=\"css-1i3ul0c eoqvrfo0\">\n<p class=\"css-1il0jfh evys1bk0\">The flight is being <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/spacex\/status\/1765037578343121372\" title=\"\" target=\"_blank\">streamed live on the website X<\/a>, which is also owned by SpaceX\u2019s founder, Elon Musk. The New York Times will also carry a livestream on this blog.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"live-blog-post-content css-1ie9vib ez3869y0\">\n<li class=\"css-1i3ul0c eoqvrfo0\">\n<p class=\"css-1il0jfh evys1bk0\">The Starship system consists of two stages \u2014 the Super Heavy rocket booster and the upper-stage spacecraft, which is also called Starship. The company intends both to be fully reusable in the future.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"css-1i3ul0c eoqvrfo0\">\n<p class=\"css-1il0jfh evys1bk0\">SpaceX\u2019s second Starship flight, on Nov. 18, achieved several milestones, including an in-flight procedure called hot staging in which the upper-stage engines start firing before the booster stage drops away.
