ESA astronaut Andreas Mogensen\u00a0flew with his Crew-7 crewmates\u00a0Jasmin\u00a0Moghbeli\u00a0(NASA), Satoshi Furukawa (JAXA), and Konstantin Borisov (Roscosmos)\u00a0to Ellington Field near Houston, Texas, US, after\u00a0spending\u00a0six months on the International Space Station and\u00a0returning\u00a0to Earth in the Dragon\u00a0Endurance.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Crew-7 splashed down off\u00a0the coast of\u00a0Florida, US, close to Pensacola, at 09:47 GMT\/10:47\u00a0on 12 March 2024,\u00a0following\u00a0a\u00a0nearly 19-hour\u00a0journey after undocking from the Space Station.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Andreas spent 199 days in space during his\u00a0Huginn mission, 197 of them on the Space Station.\u00a0During this time,\u00a0he conducted more than 30 European experiments and technology demonstrations, as well as\u00a0many\u00a0international ones.\u00a0From\u00a0filtering waste water\u00a0and figuring out\u00a0astronauts\u2019\u00a0sleep in space,\u00a0to\u00a0capturing\u00a0the\u00a0image of a special lightning\u00a0called a red sprite,\u00a0Andreas\u00a0shared\u00a0the science he conducted with the world\u00a0through\u00a0his social media,\u00a0l\u00a0like the mythical bird that gave its name to his mission\u00a0<\/p>\n
Huginn is named after one of the two ravens of the Norse god Odin,\u00a0the\u00a0other being\u00a0Muninn.\u00a0According to\u00a0Norse mythology,\u00a0the two\u00a0ravens\u00a0are said to fly into the world every day, gathering\u00a0information and relaying\u00a0it to Odin at the end of the day, telling him what they have seen across the globe.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
