{"id":783422,"date":"2024-06-04T10:19:50","date_gmt":"2024-06-04T15:19:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spaceweekly.com\/?p=783422"},"modified":"2024-06-04T10:19:50","modified_gmt":"2024-06-04T15:19:50","slug":"nasa-awards-university-research-projects-to-support-agency-missions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spaceweekly.com\/?p=783422","title":{"rendered":"NASA Awards University Research Projects to Support Agency Missions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>NASA announced the recipients of the Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) grants, which will support scientific and technical research projects for more than 20 universities and organizations across the United States.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNASA\u2019s EPSCoR awards are a tool to strengthen research capacity in areas across our nation that have historically been underrepresented in government research,\u201d said Torry Johnson, deputy associate administrator of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Engagement Programs at NASA Headquarters in Washington. \u201cThe goal with each award is to provide institutions a long-term and sustainable pathway to participating in the aerospace industry by cultivating competitive research capabilities and fostering strategic relationships with NASA experts.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The EPSCoR awards will compliment NASA\u2019s research portfolio to benefit future missions.
