{"id":785856,"date":"2024-07-16T13:02:56","date_gmt":"2024-07-16T18:02:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/spaceweekly.com\/?p=785856"},"modified":"2024-07-16T13:02:56","modified_gmt":"2024-07-16T18:02:56","slug":"arrl-announces-leadership-changes-in-the-hudson-division-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spaceweekly.com\/?p=785856","title":{"rendered":"ARRL Announces Leadership Changes in the Hudson Division"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"date\">07\/16\/2024<\/span><\/p>\n<p>ARRL Director Nomar Vizcarrondo, NP4H, who has represented the\u00a0Hudson Division\u00a0since March 2023, has stepped down, effective July 12, 2024, at 5 PM Eastern.<\/p>\n<p>Vice Director Ed Wilson, N2XDD, will accede to the Director\u2019s chair to complete the remainder of a 3-year term ending December 31, 2024. Wilson has served as Vice Director since June 2023. He has held ARRL Field Organization appointments as an Emergency Coordinator and Public Information Officer. Wilson is also an accredited Volunteer Examiner.<\/p>\n<p>Vizcarrondo says he still plans to be active in the ham radio community. \u201cI have a great deal of respect for ARRL, and anything I can do keep amateur radio thriving I\u2019ll keep doing! It\u2019s not goodbye, it\u2019s \u2018see you later,\u2019\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>ARRL President Rick Roderick, K5UR, will announce a successor to Wilson to fill the vacant Vice Director\u2019s seat.
