Here is what some regular participants recommend:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<b>Register to gain access to the B2B meeting platform<\/b><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<figure class=\"article__image article__image--right\"><figcaption class=\"image__caption\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t5 tips on how to prepare for business-to-business meetings at ESA&#8217;s Industry Space Days<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cNothing beats meeting people face-to-face and ISD is one of the few events that uses an online B2B \u00a0platform to preschedule meetings \u2013 it\u2019s very efficient. All the important stakeholders are there,\u201d said Yohann Ballot, Business Development Manager at space electronics and software company EREMS in France.<\/p>\n<p>EREMS is one in hundreds of companies which have registered and started to preschedule meetings. \u201cWe attended the first ISD in 1999 and for us it\u2019s a priority which we plan into our schedule,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Norah Patten, Commercial Manager at R\u00e9altra Space Systems Engineering, finds the\u00a0list of exhibitors\u00a0and the\u00a0online company catalogue\u00a0useful when prescheduling meetings with potential partners. \u201cOne-to-one meetings are where the connections are made,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<b>Take note at ESA director keynote speeches, presentations and panel discussions<\/b><\/p>\n<p>ESA\u2019s Director General, 10 ESA directors and various ESA programme representatives present information on programmes, upcoming space missions and their technology needs. During panel discussions, ESA discusses upcoming challenges, markets and business interests within the European and global space domain with key partners, with a particular focus on commercialisation and financing in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe gain insights on the direction and timescale of ESA activities. This heads-up allows us to predict and plan collaborations so that we can get involved. Preparing for future opportunities enables us to submit better proposals to ESA Invitations to Tender that are relevant to us,\u201d added Yohann at EREMS.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<b>Make use of the social networking opportunities<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn my opinion, every space company in Europe should attend this event,\u201d says Barry Kavanagh, CEO at OCE Technologies, with a booth at ISD 2024. \u201cMeet your customers, ESA contacts, and collaborating companies either socially in the evening or during the day. We meet our ESA technical contacts from current and previous contracts to update them on progress and obtain their advice,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<b>Sign up for workshops and presentations<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe presentations and workshops are always very carefully crafted to help participants to stay at the forefront of industry developments. Engaging actively in workshops and presentations can also provide deeper industry insights and foster further networking opportunities,\u201d said\u00a0Stefano Antonetti, VP Business Development and Institutional Sales at D-Orbit.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<b>Plan a booth for ISD 2026<\/b><\/p>\n<p>All the booths are taken for ISD 2024, but you can plan a booth for 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve increased our visibility with an industry booth to showcase EREMS\u2019 space electronics and turnkey software solutions.
