Every six weeks, we delve into an exciting new title, with members given free access to extracts from our books, articles from our authors and video interviews.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p>We are currently reading Tade Thompson\u2019s award-winning novel <em>Rosewater<\/em>, set in a future Nigeria. Its focus is a community (the titular Rosewater) that has grown up around a mysterious alien biodome with strange healing powers. We don\u2019t know much about the aliens, but they have also created a \u201cxeno-sphere\u201d that certain \u201csensitive\u201d human psychics can access. Kaaro, our protagonist, a former criminal turned government agent, is one of these sensitives \u2013 and he\u2019s looking for answers.<\/p>\n<p>You can read an extract from <em>Rosewater<\/em>, and Thompson has also written us an essay about how he came to write it.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"js-content-prompt-opportunity\"\/>    <\/p>\n<p>If you want to catch up on some of our past Book Club reading, our picks are listed in reverse chronological order below, along with extracts, articles and videos from our authors.
