During the night of 3 August, a lava fountain and an eruptive cloud emerged from the Voragine Crater. The cloud momentarily reached 10 km high and then fell as ash towards the southeast, carried by the wind.<\/p>\n<p>The ash was reported more than 35 km away from the volcano, affecting populated areas.
