{"id":788008,"date":"2024-08-29T07:22:51","date_gmt":"2024-08-29T12:22:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spaceweekly.com\/?p=788008"},"modified":"2024-08-29T07:22:51","modified_gmt":"2024-08-29T12:22:51","slug":"esa-sentinel-2c-pre-launch-media-briefing-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spaceweekly.com\/?p=788008","title":{"rendered":"ESA &#8211; Sentinel-2C pre-launch media briefing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"modal__tab-content--details\">\n<div class=\"modal__tab-description\">\n<p>The Copernicus Sentinel-2C satellite is set for liftoff on 4 September on the last Vega rocket from Europe\u2019s Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana.<\/p>\n<p>This recording is of a media briefing held on 29 August 2024 to offer journalists the possibility to learn more about the Sentinel-2 mission and the last flight of Vega, Europe\u2019s nimble rocket specialising in launching small scientific and Earth observation spacecraft such as to sun-synchronous polar orbits, following the Sun.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Sentinel-2 mission is based on a constellation of two identical satellites, Sentinel-2A and Sentinel-2B, flying in the same orbit but 180\u00b0 apart to optimise coverage and revisit time.
