{"id":788142,"date":"2024-08-30T13:38:51","date_gmt":"2024-08-30T18:38:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/spaceweekly.com\/?p=788142"},"modified":"2024-08-30T13:38:51","modified_gmt":"2024-08-30T18:38:51","slug":"arrl-club-grants-will-be-awarded-in-november","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spaceweekly.com\/?p=788142","title":{"rendered":"ARRL Club Grants Will Be Awarded in November"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"date\">08\/30\/2024<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Applications for the 2024 ARRL Club Grants program are now being reviewed (the application period closed July 26, 2024).<\/p>\n<p>ARRL Field Services Manager Mike Walters, W8ZY, said 110 grant applications have been received and the awards will be announced in late November. \u201cGrants are available up to $25,000 and emphasis is given to projects that are transformative in nature,\u201d said Walters.<\/p>\n<p>Examples of projects include but are not limited to getting on the air projects, ham training and skills development through mentoring, STEM and STEAM learning through amateur radio, station resources for use by the ham community, and emergency communications and public service projects that emphasize training.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince 2022, $500,000 has been distributed to amateur radio clubs,\u201d said Walters. \u201cWith this year\u2019s awards, that total will increase to $1,000,000 awarded.<\/p>\n<p>The ARRL Club Grants are administered by The ARRL Foundation.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.arrl.org\/news\/view\/arrl-club-grants-will-be-awarded-in-november?rand=771671\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>08\/30\/2024 Applications for the 2024 ARRL Club Grants program are now being reviewed (the application period closed July 26, 2024).
