A very bright fireball lit up the skies over the western United States at 05:46 UTC on September 24, 2024, and was seen from California to Washington.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The American Meteor Society (AMS) received 206 reports of a bright fireball observed over the skies of California, Nevada, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington at 05:46 UTC on September 24.<\/p>\n

The sighting lasted around 4 seconds, with the fireball described as descending at an angle of 100 degrees. Its colors ranged from light to dark blue, orange, and yellow.<\/p>\n

There were no sounds associated with the event.<\/p>\n
