Students from\u00a0Mexico, Italy,\u00a0Thailand,\u00a0Malaysia, and\u00a0Japan\u00a0designed the shoe-boxed satellites for a series of Earth observations and technology demonstrations.<\/p>\n<p>CubeSats are a class of nanosatellites \u2013 small spacecraft weighing 1-10 kilograms \u2013 that use a standard size and form factor.
