It is embedded in the esa-star appplication used by all companies that do business with ESA.

ECOS 5 decommissioning and transition to ECOS 6 ensures business continuity while providing industry with a more user-friendly, secure, and future-proof platform, aligned with ESA’s digitalisation objectives and evolving procurement needs.

From 30 March, ECOS 6 will be available for all new ESA Tender Actions and, as for ECOS 5, is mandatory for all major activities, namely those defined by one of the following criteria:

Industrial content exceeding €10 million

Strategic interest to the Agency

Significant potential risk to the Agency.

This new version brings enhanced capabilities and will also be the only platform supporting the new price breakdown forms (PBFs), reinforcing ECOS 6 as an essential tool for future ESA procurements.

To ensure a smooth transition:

The previous version, ECOS 5, will remain available for ESA Tender Actions released before 30 March 2026, as well as for ongoing activities, but technical support for ECOS 5 will end on 30 June 2026, and the current support address for industry (ecos@radventure.com) will be discontinued thereafter.

Support for ECOS 6 will be provided via the new dedicated contact point:
esait.service.desk@esa.int

Register for ECOS 6 training

Four dedicated training sessions on ECOS 6 have been scheduled and will be held virtually through MS Teams. By attending, you will:

Learn how to navigate the updated interface

Discover new features that simplify the preparation of price proposals

Gain best practices that will save time and reduce errors in tendering activities

Be fully prepared to transition smoothly to ECOS version 6.

Register for one of the four ECOS 6 training sessions by clicking on your preferred date:

All sessions will feature the same content so attending once is sufficient.

Please note that the full release of ECOS 6 is scheduled for 30 March. The tool is not available before that date, even for participants in the first training session on 24 March.

For further questions related to the transition, please contact: ecos.community@esa.int

Join the ECOS Community

We strongly encourage industry stakeholders to follow updates and engage via the ECOS Community on Microsoft Teams, which will serve as the central hub for information, guidance, and exchanges.
