\t\t\t\t\t\t19\/03\/2026<\/span> After more than a month of silence, ESA’s ground station in Villafranca, Spain, received telemetry from the Coronagraph spacecraft. Telemetry is a package of data sent by a spacecraft including information on its temperature, voltages, and health of onboard systems.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n The Coronagraph is now in safe mode and stable, and the mission team and operators are running health checks on the spacecraft to understand if any parts of it have been damaged.\u00a0<\/p>\n The spacecraft\u2019s solar panel is facing the Sun, powering the essential electronics on board, and charging the battery with the remaining power.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n After a month of floating in space and exposed to extreme cold, onboard systems need time to warm up\u00a0before any major actions are taken.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cHearing back from the Coronagraph\u00a0is amazing news, and a great relief!\u201d comments Damien Galano, Proba-3 Mission\u00a0Manager. \u201cSince the issue was detected a month ago, the mission team, operators and our industry partners have been working tirelessly to get the spacecraft back.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cWhen we got the call from\u00a0the\u00a0operators at Villafranca,\u00a0the\u00a0excitement in the team\u00a0was palpable.\u00a0But the\u00a0hard work\u00a0is not over yet \u2013 we need to carefully look at the data before we take any\u00a0further steps.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n More updates will be posted on the\u00a0Proba-3 blog\u00a0as soon as they become available.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
