{"id":89778,"date":"2011-04-12T13:25:00","date_gmt":"2011-04-12T17:25:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.afspc.af.mil\/news\/story.asp?id=123251266"},"modified":"2011-04-12T13:25:00","modified_gmt":"2011-04-12T17:25:00","slug":"cyber-1-1-kicks-off-national-space-symposium","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spaceweekly.com\/?p=89778","title":{"rendered":"Cyber 1.1 kicks off National Space Symposium"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"float:left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.afspc.af.mil\/news\/story.asp?id=123251266\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" style=\"margin-right:15px\" src=\"http:\/\/www.afspc.af.mil\/shared\/media\/photodb\/thumbnails\/AFG-110412-002.jpg\"<\/img><\/a><\/div>\n<p>The 27th National Space Symposium, at the Broadmoor Resort, Colorado Springs, Colo. kicked off the weeklong conference yesterday with a day devoted entirely to cyber discussion, the second annual Cyber 1.1 event.<\/p>\n<p>The commander of Air Force Space Command, General William Shelton recognized the event as a chance to think about where we are going in the space and cyberspace domains and contemplate the associated challenges. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is a great opportunity to highlight the two domains that AFSPC is responsible for&#8211; space and cyberspace,&#8221; he said. &#8220;The Air Force only talks about three domains&#8211; air, space and cyberspace and we&#8217;ve got two of them.
