Maj. Gen. Susan Mashiko assumes command of the Air Force Space Command Element Command at the National Reconnaissance Office from Maj. Gen. Ellen Pawlikowski in a ceremony officiated by Gen. C. Robert Kehler, commander of Air Force Space Command, at the Jimmie D. Hill Auditorium at the NRO in Washington D.C., Jan. 28. General Mashiko comes to the NRO from the Office of the Under Secretary of the Air Force, where he was the director of space acquisition. The outgoing commander, General Pawlikowski, is moving on to the Air Force Research Laboratory where she will be the commander. The mission of the AFSPC Element of the NRO is a commitment to customer service, providing the best Ai r Force personnel products and information to the right place at the right time to advance the NRO mission.
