Ariane 5 launcher parts arrive at SpacePort

Activity for Arianespace’s next Ariane 5 mission began February 22 as the major Ariane launch vehicle components arrived at the Spaceport following a transatlantic voyage aboard the MN Colibri ship.

The elements for Flight 166’s Ariane 5 Generic launcher were unloaded from the MN Colibri at the Paricabo dock, and taken by truck to the Spaceport. The MN Colibri is one of two large vessels used to transport Ariane launcher components from Europe to South America.
