The Air National Guard’s only information operations classic associate unit was officially recognized and redesignated as the 273rd Information Operations Squadron in January.
“The 273rd IOS is the model to follow when building a classic associate unit,” said Brig. Gen. John Nichols, Texas ANG assistant adjutant general-Air and TXANG commander. “The TXANG and an exceptional cadre stepped into the future when we started this unit, and the hard work and dedication they poured into this endeavor has finally paid off with their federal recognition. They bring enthusiasm, mission expertise and innovations to this essential mission set.”
