VFW Post 4051 and VFW Post 5221 sponsor members of Air Force Space Command in the 24th Annual Bataan Memorial Death March

The Bataan Memorial Death March is commemorated every year in March by military members of the United States and foreign armed forces and civilian marchers.

The March, which qualifies as a marathon, covers paved roads and sandy trails through the high desert terrain of White Sands Missile Range, northeast of Las Cruces, New Mexico. It is regarded by Marathon Guide as one of the top 30 marathons in the U.S.

VFW Post 4051 and 5221 are sponsoring members of Air Force Space Command to participate in the 24th Annual Bataan Memorial Death March. Capt. Tamara Fischer-Carter, a life time member of VFW Post 5221, works with 1st Lt. Connie Dillon on the Air Force Space Command Public Affairs staff, and Mr. Jason Aljehani is a member of VFW Post 4051 on the AFSPC presentations staff.
