After completing a standard inspection of space shuttle Discovery’s heat shield, the shuttle crew goes to sleep at 12:21 p.m. EDT. Due to the Ku-band anomaly, data from the scan was recorded for playback to imagery experts in mission control after Discovery docks to the International Space Station. The Mission Management Team (MMT) meets at 2 p.m., and NASA TV will air a post-MMT news conference at 5 p.m.
