DG’s opening speech at the Living Planet Symposium 2013

Held in Edinburgh, UK, the Living Planet Symposium 2013 brings together scientists and users from across the globe to present their latest findings on the Earth’s environment and climate derived from satellite data. Speaking at the opening plenary, Jean-Jacques Dordain, ESA Director General, highlighted the diversity of ESA’s Earth observation activities, with missions dedicated to scientific research, meteorology and operational applications.
