Europe’s fifth and sixth satellites were placed on top of their Soyuz launcher at the top of its mobile gantry on the evening of 19 August 2014, leaving them on track for a scheduled 21 August launch. The satellites had previously been attached to a dispenser, attached in turn to the Fregat upper stage and then enclosed within the protective launch fairing seen here.
