This video, part of the ESA ‘Teach with space’ series, shows an experiment that can be performed by teachers in the classroom to demonstrate what a comet nucleus is made of. Some of the ingredients are surprising suggesting that comets have played an important role in the evolution of the Solar System and possibly also the evolution of Earth and life.
