It’s expected Canadians will be peppered from the heavens this weekend. Dust and other particles from an obscure comet known as 209P/LINEAR will cross the Earth’s path at more than 50,000 kilometres per hour, lighting up the night sky in a spectacular meteor shower, or even a more intense “storm.” It’s being called the May Camelopardalids, named after the northern constellation (the Giraffe) where it will appear in the sky.
