European student satellite

Martijn Geers, Master student in Science and Aerospace Engineering at TU Delft, presents the work his student team has contributed to the European Student Earth Orbiter ESEO microsatellite – see the model sitting on the table – to (left to right) the Director of ESTEC Franco Ongaro, King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, the Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Lilianne Ploumen, ESA Director General Jean-Jacques Dordain and Dutch ESA astronaut André Kuipers. On the second row the Mayor of Noordwijk  Jan Rijpstra and the Head of the Dutch Delegation to ESA Council Jasper Wesseling. Student presentations of their work being done with ESA was one the highlights of ESTEC’s celebration of 50 years of European space cooperatoin on 16 December 2014.
