Typhoon Maysak churning across the Pacific Ocean, as snapped from Proba-2 up in orbit, by an experimental ESA camera smaller than an espresso cup. The image was acquired on 1 April 2015, using the compact Exploration Camera, X-Cam. Housed on the underside of the minisatellite, the monochrome X-Cam observes in the visible and infrared with a 100° field of view.
