The first mission with Globalstar’s second-generation satellites is now being readied for liftoff following the Soyuz vehicle’s rollout to the launch pad at Baikonur Cosmodrome during the morning hours of October 16. This clears the way for final check-out and the countdown leading to Soyuz’ launch of the six Globalstar spacecraft on October 19 at 11:10 p.m. local time in Kazakhstan. The mission will be performed for Arianespace by its Starsem affiliate.
