Shoes tie Buckley CGOC to Afghan refugees in need

There are many kinds of shoes. Some shoes are meant for basketball and others for a fancy night on the town. These shoes, these corduroy shoes, are meant for something a bit more important; they are meant for an Afghan refugee camp.

The shoes actually started their trip when Capt. Adam Pudenz, 460th Force Support Squadron, deployed to Afghanistan with an Army unit to work near a refugee camp – where many of the children don’t have shoes.

“He called and said, ‘There is so much devastation, we don’t have enough to help them,'” said 2nd Lt. Jessica Gruver Koefod, 460th Force Support Squadron. “I thought, ‘we have enough.'”
