AFSPC Among 2015 Federal Energy and Water Management Award Winners

The Department of Energy recently announced the 2015 Federal Energy and Water Management Awards.  The Air Force had another impressive showing; winning 10 of the 32 awards.  Even more impressive, AFSPC garnered three of those awards; including a Career Exceptional Service Award and two program (1 individual/1 team) awards.

Mr. Tim Pugh, HQ AFSPC Energy Branch, was recognized with the Career Exceptional Service Award.  This award is noteworthy as it recognizes him for an impressive body of work contributing to Air Force Energy.  His career spans over 37 years in the field of engineering; 22 of which he served at Peterson Air Force Base supporting Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) energy initiatives at both the base level and AFSPC Headquarters.  Mr. Pugh’s numerous energy and water conservation efforts over the years culminated in reducing AFSPC energy and water consumption by 29% and 46% in FY14, exceeding Federal conservation goals in these areas
