Arianespace’s seventh Service & Solutions contract of 2009 was signed with Japanese operator SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation to loft the new JCSAT-13 communications satellite. Ariane 5 is scheduled to launch the satellite – which will provide broadcasting and telecommunications services for Japan and the Asia-Pacific region – from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana in 2013.
