The Herschel space telescope is undergoing its fueling process at the Spaceport in French Guiana in preparation for Ariane 5’s May 6 launch. Both Herschel and the Planck co-passenger were developed in programs managed by the European Space Agency, which is Arianespace’s customer for this flight.
