Numerical and Analytical Assessment of a Coupled Rotating Detonation Engine and Turbine Experiment

Abstract: An analysis is presented of an experimental rig comprising a rotating detonation engine (RDE) with bypass ejector flow coupled to a downstream turbine. The analysis used a validated computational fluid dynamics RDE simulation combined with straightforward algebraic mixing equations for the bypass flow.
